OGC Nice defender Jordan Lotomba could end up at Burnley on deadline day, according to a report from L’Equipe.
The right-back has less than a year left on his deal and it’s not yet clear whether he’ll still be at the Ligue 1 side after today’s deadline. That’s because Burnley have now positioned themselves to sign the 25-year-old.
It’s further claimed Scott Parker’s side have opened talks with French club to secure the defender’s services. The negotiations are likely for a permanent transfer, considering his contract expires in 2025.
It’s not yet certain whether the Clarets could find an agreement with both Nice and the Switzerland international soon.
Crystal Palace showed interest in the fullback in the previous two windows, but they haven’t looked at him this summer. The Swiss could now move to England in the next few hours if he and his club were to find a total agreement with the Championship side.
The player arrived at Nice from Swiss side Young Boys in 2020. Lotomba has been a regular for them, featuring in 143 matches in all competitions.
