Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra today features an update on the situation of Atletico Nacional youngster Jhon Solis.
On Twitter, the reporter claims that Brentford pulled out of the race, while the City Group and Brighton & Hove Albion are still in for him.
The 18-year-old is said to be excited with the interest, and keen on making the move to Europe.
There aren’t many details in Sierra’s report, as he only says that offers from the City Group and Brighton are on the table.
Brighton’s interest in Solis had been reported last week, when it was claimed the Seagulls were about to place an official bid for him. At the time, it wasn’t said how much they’d offer.
Atletico are expected to try to make the most out of the sale, so it’s no surprise they’re holding on to see what shows up on the table. The story claims that the City Group’s bid was placed on Sunday, and that seems to be the most recent attempt.
