Brighton & Hove Albion seem to be already on their way to making signings for their Premier League squad next season.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, the club are interested in signing Michel Morganella from Serie A side Palermo.

With his contract expiring in 2018, the website claims it’s very likely the player will be trying to negotiate a new contract this summer, but it’s more probable he’ll be leaving the club.

Brighton have reportedly been following the Swiss right-back for months now, and the next transfer window will be the perfect opportunity to try and sign him.

Morganella has never really managed to become a regular starter at Palermo since signing from Novara in 2012, despite being the first option on the bench for his position and playing the 90 minutes a few times.

TMW even mention the possibility of a loan deal, although a permanent transfer surely wouldn’t be too expensive for Brighton, especially with their new Premier League money.
