Brighton & Hove Albion have placed a new bid for Rosario Central midfielder Facundo Buonanotte, according to reports from Argentina.
Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo writes that the Seagulls are now offering an initial amount of US$6m (£5.2m), plus another US$6m (£5.2m) in performance goals, and letting the South American club keep 20% from a future sale.
The report claims there’s still ‘one detail to be polished’, even though it isn’t really said what this issue is. Brighton are said to be putting on the table a contract until 2026, with an option for a further year.
Brighton were in no hurry to sign him in the summer, since the player is still 17 and only turns 18 in December. That means he can only move to Europe in January, and as things stand, it seems there are good chances that’ll happen.
