Earlier today, we covered La Nazione’s report which stated Newcastle United remain interested in Fiorentina’s Nico Gonzalez. There now seems to be more Premier League interest in the Argentina international.
La Nazione had mentioned that Juventus were trying to offer players as part of their move and Atalanta were also looking to offer Juan Musso as part payment.
Fiorentina see Gonzalez as one of their best players and want as much as they can get. Both Brighton and Forest have come forward with enquiries for the winger, although there’s no offer yet.
A formal offer for the player is ‘expected’ to arrive in the next few days, the report states. Having said that, Juventus are ahead of both Nottingham Forest and Brighton in the race, with Thiago Motta seeing Gonzalez as a key part of his plans.
Nottingham Forest or Brighton offering a straight cash deal could be preferable to Fiorentina.
