Rumours over who will be Barcelona manager next season have increased strongly over the past month. With the Blaugrana dropping out of the title race, a harsher spotlight turned to Ronald Koeman and his future at the Camp Nou.
That obviously caused some annoyance for the manager, and last week the Dutchman made that clear, explaining during a press conference that a lack of respect was being shown to him and his players.
Sport report Barcelona president Joan Laporta has kept a ‘respectful silence’ regarding the manager’s future, however, there’s clearly been leaks about the situation from the club he’s in charge of.
According to the Catalan newspaper, ‘The big day has arrived’ and today will be crucial in who manages Barcelona next season.
Laporta is set to meet with Koeman ‘in the next few hours’, and then a decision can be made on where everyone goes from here. Even Sport insist things can’t drag on much longer, with Barcelona needing clarity as a club as they look to prepare for the new season.
