As soon as it was rumoured David Wagner would be taking over at Schalke, the German sport media quickly got to work linking Huddersfield Town players with a move to the club.
On May 14th, it was reported Jonas Lössl and Zanka could be options for the Bundesliga side.
Everton announced on Friday that the goalkeeper will be joining them when his Terriers contract expires in June, so that just leaves the central defender.
Inevitably Zanka gets a mention, and the German newspaper believe he’d be available for around €5m.
Huddersfield Town will surely be looking for a higher fee for the 29 year old, despite him only having a year remaining on his contract with the club.
Relegation to the Champions will mean a big reduction in the budget, but that doesn’t mean the Yorkshire club have to give players away.
