Tottenham Hotspur have been interested Bayern Munich technical director Marco Neppe, according to a report from Germany.

The Bundesliga winners are set to make changes off the pitch as Max Eberl will be their new sporting director from next month.

That’s according to Bild, who add that there will be a few exits at the management level and this includes Neppe’s farewell, who has been on Tottenham’s radar.

It’s claimed Bayern are currently having discussions with the director to terminate his contract.

He arrived at the club in 2014, along with former director Michael Reschke. Neppe started as a scout and climbed up through the ranks before being appointed as Bayern’s technical director in December 2021.

The report states he ‘took a lot of responsibility’ in bringing Harry Kane and Kim Min-jae from Tottenham and Napoli respectively last summer. He’s also been involved in carrying out potential operations in the winter market.

Bild say both Bayern and Neppe have decided it’s best to part ways. He ‘has had a request from Tottenham’ before, but the exact timeframe isn’t shared.

Now is obviously a good time for Spurs, or anyone else, to move for Neppe given his Bayern Munich days are coming to an end.
