The Spaniard was sold to Villarreal last summer, with a buy back clause, and the Catalan giants decided to trigger it this summer.
Suarez has been speaking to Catalan website L’Esportiu, and was asked about the period he spent at Manchester City.
He said: “Very positive. A radical change in my life. I trained and traveled with the first team and played league affiliates, but I had to adapt to a big club and a culture very different from ours.
“Also talking about football. I learned many things. It was my adaptation to professional football.”
Suarez is also confident Pep Guardiola will really do well at Manchester City, and bring success to the club.
He added: “I’m sure. He did well in Barca and Bayern Munich, so it surely will go well out there.”
