With the European transfer window still open, all eyes are on some of the more significant moves yet to happen, and Neymar to Barcelona certainly falls into that category.

The Brazilian has made it clear he wants to leave Paris this summer and, despite their best efforts to keep him, PSG are now happy to facilitate a departure.

Neymar’s preference is to return to Barcelona, and throughout this summer they’ve been positioning themselves to try and get a deal done.

The transfer is hard for all parties given the financials involved, and thus there has been plenty of toing and froing on Barca’s part as to whether they should try and resign the 27-year-old.

They now appear to have decided they should make a move, with RAC Sport reporting a decision has been taken.

The Catalan radio station claim Barcelona will make a ‘written offer’ to PSG for Neymar, with the decision taken this afternoon at a summit between the board and the club’s sporting staff.

There’s no mention of when the bid will be sent, just that they have decided to try and bring Neymar back to the Nou Camp.

Barcelona now have until the 2nd September, when the Spanish transfer window closes, to arguably get the biggest deal of the summer over the line.
