Following all the talk about Paulo Dybala’s release clause in his AS Roma contract, a number of clubs have been sniffing around the Argentine, including Aston Villa.

That’s according to Il Messaggero, relayed by Siamo La Roma, who have an article on the star’s potential future, as his deal with the Serie A side expires in 2025.

This means the player will either be sold or renewed in the summer, and depending if it’s the former, then Aston Villa will be among those knocking at the door.

It’s recalled that Atletico Madrid ‘stepped forward’ in January to try and bring him to Spain, but they were unable to get a deal done as they had issues with outgoing transfers.

That’s left the door open for other clubs, ‘above all Aston Villa’, who are ‘ready to come forward’ this summer, alongside Bayer Leverkusen and a number of Saudi clubs.

With a release clause of €13m in his deal, the player is an attractive prospect for many, and it appears Monchi could be working on a huge coup this summer.

If he pulls this off, it would be a great signing for Aston Villa, as the club appear ready to part ways with Nicolo Zaniolo, who has been reported as being very likely return to Galatasaray in the summer once his loan deal is done.
