Aston Villa and Fulham eyeing up move for free transfer of Brazilian forward – PL duo seen as ‘toughest competition’

With a contract expiring at the end of the season, Felipe Anderson is becoming a target for a number of clubs, including Aston Villa and Fulham.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who report the Premier League duo are proving to be the ‘toughest competition’ for the other clubs interested in the Brazilian.

It’s explained that both Aston Villa and Fulham are monitoring the forward’s situation, as Lazio continue to do their best to tie him down with a contract extension.

The winger, were he to choose a move to Villa Park or Craven Cottage, would certainly take little time to adapt to his new surroundings, knowing exactly what to expect from Premier League football from his time at West Ham.

However, they need to be aware that Juventus are also on the case, with the Serie A giants having had more than ‘one direct contact’ with the player’s entourage of late.

A lot will depend on where Anderson sees himself in the foreseeable future, as he remains an important part of Lazio’s plans to this day under Maurizio Sarri, but the appeal of a final big move for the 30-year-old could be too good to pass up on if Aston Villa or Fulham come knocking with a contract offer.
