According to a claim in the Turkish media, Aston Villa are showing an interest in Galatasaray attacker Barış Alper Yılmaz.
The 24-year-old impressed for Turkey during this summer’s Euros and has subsequently been linked with a host of clubs in recent weeks.
Sabah have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of Yılmaz and they say Aston Villa, along with fellow Premier League side Manchester United are especially interested signing the player.
There are no reports yet of Aston Villa opening transfer talks to sign the right winger, but they will face competition from Italy, Spain and France. It’s claimed offers are expected soon from interested clubs.
Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion have also been linked in recent weeks.
He started 28 Super Lig games last season, scoring seven goals. Yılmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2027.
