Arsenal links with Cengiz Under aren’t going to disappear any time soon, especially if the club continue sending officials to watch AS Roma in action.
Just over a week ago, we covered claims from Italy that Arsenal are ‘serious’ about signing the player. The Gunners were presented as keen on the winger, as they look to strengthen their attack.
At the time it was highlighted that Under earns less than €1m a season, a figure which will be after tax.
Then, on November 29th, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Arsenal have ‘strong’ interest in the youngster.
A day later, Calciomercato reported the club ‘want’ him, and they explained he’d be ‘perfect’ for Unai Emery’s system, a system which is clearly working pretty well for the manager right now.
Now Calciomercato.it report Arsenal sent an official to watch Roma’s match against Inter Milan at the weekend. They state Under is one of the players who will have been watched specifically.
The 21 year old had a good performance and scored a goal, as Roma managed to get a 2-2 draw at home.
