The German media today highlights Arsenal’s interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
It’s Bild who features a story claiming that even though the player has just agreed to a new contract with the Bundesliga side, he actually draws attention from some Premier League clubs.
Arsenal stand out, as they’re ‘above all’ in a competition which includes the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle United.
The winger’s new contract with Borussia Dortmund was signed last week, and given he’s now tied to the club until 2028, it’s clearly harder to convince the Bundesliga side of a sale.
That would make it difficult for Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United and any other interested clubs.
The German club didn’t have to pay to sign the player from Manchester City’s academy back in 2022. Now that he’s made his way through the first team, he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €14m.
Bynoe-Gittens also got a pay rise when signing a new contract, and Arsenal will need to work hard to get this transfer done, as the competition for him isn’t the only issue they have.
