Arsenal are ‘very interested’ in signing Goncalo Guedes from Valencia, report Fichajes, with the Gunners joining Liverpool when it comes to interest in the Portuguese attacker.

Wolves have also been linked with the player in recent months, and repeatedly during the summer transfer window, however, Bruno Lage’s side get no mention in this latest report.

According to the claims, Arsenal are knocking on the door to try and push their efforts along. The London club are keeping an eye on the player’s progress with Valencia, where Guedes has had a good start to the season with two goals and two assists in eight La Liga matches so far.

The 24-year-old has a contract with his club which lasts until June 2023, and that creates questions for Valencia ahead of the next summer window.

Either they try and get a renewal or work for a sale, knowing their player would be out of contract a year later.

Guedes will have to continue impressing this season if he’s keen to turn Arsenal interest into something more serious.
