For the past few weeks, reports in the UK have stated Arsenal want to get rid of Thomas Partey in the summer window and this has seen the midfielder linked to a few clubs.
Juventus are among them and have been following the 30-year-old midfielder, who is valued at €20m by the Gunners.
That’s according to Tutto Juve, who state the Serie A side don’t intend to meet Arsenal’s demands for the Ghana international.
Faced with this situation, the Turin club have come up with a new formula to sign Partey. It’s stated Juventus have ‘proposed an exchange’ deal to Mikel Arteta’s side involving Partey and Arthur Melo.
Tutto Juve state Massimiliano Allegri’s side value the Brazilian at €40m and also talk about the possibility of carrying an ‘equal exchange’ with Arsenal involving the 26-year-old and the former Atlético Madrid man. In other words, a direct swap deal with no fee involved.
The report doesn’t mention the Gunners’ response after Juve proposed this deal.
Arthur will return to Juve after a season-long loan spell at Liverpool. Earlier this month, his agent confirmed he’s looking to leave the club in this window.
