For the past week or so, reports coming out of the Spanish and British press have discussed Martin Ødegaard’s chances of returning to Arsenal this summer.
The Real Madrid player spent the second half of last season on loan at the Emirates and his performances convinced Mikel Arteta to make an effort to get him for this term.
He’s currently training with Los Blancos, while questions are raised about his future.
Recent reports stated the Gunners would be willing to pay €50m to sign the 22-year-old. These claims are relayed by AS and they then provide their own information on this case.
It’s said the midfielder’s situation has again become a ‘burning issue’ for the La Liga side. AS further add ‘Arsenal are back on track’ for the Norway international and they ‘do not give up’ in the ongoing pursuit for the player’s services.
Although recent reports have stated Ødegaard has doubts over enjoying regular playing time under Carlo Ancelotti next season, AS explain the Norwegian is ‘still not sure what to do with his future’.
Ødegaard is yet to make a decision on whether to stay at Real Madrid or return to the Premier League. He has less than three weeks to sort out his future.
