There is a ‘real chance’ that Feyenoord manager Arne Slot will leave the club this summer if Tottenham continue to show an interest in him.

That’s according to Soccer News and Voetbal International journalists Simon Zwartkruis and Stef de Bont, who believe it is becoming increasingly likely Slot will leave the Dutch side.

He’s been impressing in the Netherland this season, leading Feyenoord clear at the top of the table ahead of the likes of Ajax and PSV Eindhoven.

He’s done that with his side playing an attractive brand of football that has earned them plenty of plaudits and him plenty of admirers, particularly in the Premier League, with Tottenham the latest.

After Leeds made an attempt to hire him as Jesse Marsch’s replacement earlier this year it is now Tottenham who are believed to be keen on him, with several reports stating that Slot is on their shortlist of candidates to replace Antonio Conte in the summer.

Feyenoord would naturally be resistant to that happening given the work he has done so far, but the journalists believe it may already be too late to keep him out of Tottenham’s clutches.

“It will be difficult if those kinds of clubs continue,” said Zwartkruis.

“But I think it’s good that the club gives him a signal that he is very important for their future. I don’t think he is cancelling Spurs because Van den Belt has joined.”

“I think it is very late,” added De Bont.

“I have the impression that there is too much interest. He has now profiled himself so well that there is almost no turning back for Arne Slot.”
