Ajax are likely to be left disappointed in their pursuit of Christopher Jullien, reports SoccerNews from the Netherlands.
Marc Overmars, the Dutch club’s technical director, had the Toulouse player ‘high on his wish list’ as the club look to bring in defenders this summer.
However, France’s Le Depeche report Jullien prefers a move to the Premier League. The 25 year old is described as being ‘determined’ to move to English football and three clubs are named.
It’s not particularly strong for any club, but Le Depeche say the central defender is currently in talks, and Burnley, Crystal Palace and Southampton are all linked.
A transfer fee of around €10m is speculated and whilst talks with English clubs are stated, there’s no claim of an offer from any of Burnley, Palace or Southampton.
Last summer, Sport Witness presented Jullien as a potential signing for Southampton, and a report of the player’s style can be found here.
