On Thursday we covered claims from France that Odsonne Edouard was set to sign for Celtic on a permanent deal.

The young forward spent last season in the Scottish Premiership on loan and it was always considered likely Brendan Rodgers would move to make the transfer a permanent one.

A transfer fee was stated at around €10m, and it was speculated a medical could happen in England to complete the deal. The claims were later carried by other French outlets.

RMC’s Loic Tanzi then reported, at around midnight, that Edouard had gone through a Celtic medical on Thursday, and that the paperwork would be done on Friday.

Edouard is set to sign a four year contract with Celtic.

There are no additional bonuses on the deal, PSG won’t have a chance to see more than €10m from the sale to Celtic, but it is stated there’s a clause which gives the French club a percentage share of a resale, although the amount isn’t specified.
