Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Adama Traoré had an instant impact after joining Barcelona on a loan deal in January.
The winger had four assists in his first five matches, but since then he’s failed to manage a goal or an assist for the La Liga side.
Barcelona have an option to buy the winger from Wolves in the summer. The dip in form and lack of regular minutes in recent matches has led to reports that the 26-year-old will not stay at the Camp Nou beyond the loan deal.
Late on Thursday, Barca president Joan Laporta, vice-president Rafael Yuste and sporting director Mateu Alemany were pictured with Jorge Mendes’ right-hand man, Hugo Valdir.
Mundo Deportivo claim Valdir was joined by Mendes, his agency’s lawyer, Paulo Rendeiro, and Mendes’ nephew, Luis Correira.
The Wolves owned man has been restricted to a secondary role at the Camp Nou, as Xavi Hernández has favoured Ousmane Dembélé instead. Mendes, therefore, ‘wanted to know first-hand’ about the Catalan club’s intention regarding Traoré.
Barca’s Trincão and Nico González are also represented by the super-agent and the duo’s futures were also discussed during the ‘summit’ between the club chiefs and Mendes.
