Adam Idah spent last season on loan at Celtic from Norwich City and did well for Brendan Rodger’s side. The 23-year-old scored eight goals in 15 matches, and it’s no surprise that Celtic have been looking to keep him around for next season and beyond.

However, it’s not only Celtic who have been keen on the forward, with repeat reports from Italy covering interest from Hellas Verona.

The Serie A side, who finished mid table last season, have been looking for a forward for a while and Idah came to their attention months ago.

Corriere di Verona now points out that whilst the club has not ‘lost sight’ of the Norwich City player, he’s simply not the priority signing for them any longer.

Instead, they’d prefer to get Robert Bozenik from Boavista, with the Portuguese club said to want around €6m for their player. Verona have been interested in both Idah and Bozenik since January, and have plumped for the latter.

That provides a clearer route for Celtic to agree a fresh deal with Norwich City.
