Jorge Mendes, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ best friend this season, could be about to stab the Championship leaders in the back, according to Calciomercato.
OK, maybe that was a bit extreme, but the Italian website claim the Portuguese super agent has come up with the idea of helping AC Milan out again in the summer, having handed them André Silva last year, by maybe sorting out a deal for Ruben Neves.
The young midfielder has been a revelation at Molineux this season, using the Championship as the ideal platform to showcase his talent, and catching the eye of many bigger teams with his performances.
While the André Silva experiment didn’t exactly work out, with the Serie A side and Jorge Mendes now looking into getting him a loan with a view to buy away from San Siro (Monaco are favourites in that one), there appears to be little worry the same would happen with the Wolves star.
However, this isn’t set in stone, as Calciomercato write the super agent is said to ‘want to bring another player from his team to Milan, with the hottest name being that of Ruben Neves’.
So, either it’s the Italian website throwing in the most exciting and ‘affordable’ name out there (most likely) or Jorge Mendes has told AC Milan he’s going to get them the former Porto starlet (less likely).
