Things are happening real quickly in Willy Boly’s departure from FC Porto. Returning from vacation on Monday, the player wasn’t even required to train with the club, and according to reports from Portugal, he should seal his Wolves transfer today.

Wolves are being considered as the most likely destination for the defender, but according to A Bola, that’s not his favourite option.

The newspaper claims that the move ‘doesn’t excite him’ nor his agent. The door to leave Porto is open, but going to a second tier league is not what they really want.

That could be the reason why representative Meisa N’Diaye didn’t want to confirm the transfer when interviewed by Record on Sunday.

A Bola doesn’t make it clear if the move is completely ruled out, especially because Wolves seem to be alone in the race for him, but this is clearly not the player’s priority.

With all the press expecting things to be sorted soon, this shouldn’t become a saga. But time isn’t in Boly’s favour either, and if Wolves are the only pretender and Porto want things to be sorted quickly, maybe he’ll have to make the move.
