On Tuesday, Manchester City came close to ending their five-match losing streak, against Feyenoord in the Champions League.
The Citizens were leading 3-0 in the 74th minute but had to settle for a draw after Anis Hadj-Moussa, Santiago Giménez and Dávid Hancko netted for the Dutch club.
Anis Hadj-Moussa’s 75th minute goal helped Feyenoord make a comeback and he ended up collecting the Man of the Match award for his performance against Manchester City.
When the forward was walking into the tunnel after the tie, Feyenoord technical director Dennis te Kloese jokingly asked him to go to the Manchester City dressing room because he had sold the 22-year-old to Pep Guardiola’s side. His comments are relayed by De Telegraaf.
“Ha, ha, not in this dressing room. You have to go to the next door,” he said.
The Algerian international told the Eredivisie side’s official that it was Manchester City’s dressing room.
Responding to that, Te Kloese explained: “Yes, I just sold you [to Manchester City].”
De Telegraaf then states the director joked about the Premier League winners to send ‘big compliment’ to Anis Hadj-Moussa, who scored four goals this season.
Feyenoord paid €3.5m to Belgian side Patro Eisden Maasmechelen to buy the attacker in January and it now seems like an ‘excellent investment’ from them.
