Viktor Gyökeres is likely to be the most wanted striker in the next summer window after his superb exploits for Sporting CP both this season and last.
The Swede international is set to face Arsenal this evening in the Champions League, and the Gunners will hope he doesn’t have the same impact as he did against Manchester City.
Obviously not every club looking for a forward can sign Gyökeres, so most are going to have to look at other options.
On that note, with Arsenal thought to need an addition in attack, the Premier League club are now being linked with Mateo Retegui.
Calciomercato point out the Atalanta striker has scored a Serie A goal every 69 minutes so far this season. Arsenal are said to have sent officials to watch the 25-year-old live in action several times already this season.
According to the report, Atalanta would be looking for more than €45m if they’re to part ways with the Italy international next summer.
