Ryan Gravenberch’s emergence under Arne Slot at Liverpool at the beginning of this season has impressed Jan Mulder, who thinks he may even be better than Clarence Seedorf and Edgar Davids.

That at least when it comes to the midfielder’s elegance according to analyst Jan Mulder, who has been praising him this week to De Volkskrant, via FC Update.

Gravenberch has been one of the shining lights of Slot’s reign at Anfield so far after a mixed first season at Anfield since arriving from Bayern Munich last year.

This season has been completely different as Slot has deployed Gravenberch as the new number six in his system to great effect.

The midfielder has quickly helped to dismiss any lingering disappointment at the club and among the fanbase about the failure to sign a player in that position this summer, particularly Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.

Mulder has been watching the midfielder closely for Liverpool this season and has been more than impressed by what he’s seen, even going as far as to compare Gravenberch to Dutch icons such as Seedorf and Davids.

“Everyone go to Liverpool and buy a ticket for Anfield. Not because of that stadium, but to see Ryan Gravenberch play,” he said.

“I think his style is of rare beauty. The way he runs, it doesn’t actually require a ball. How he recently played against Manchester United and against Germany, that really is the highest league. That gentle movement just made your jaw drop.

“Two class players, but not with the grandeur of Ryan Gravenberch,” he added on Seedorf and Davids comparisons.
