Raúl Jiménez spent five years at Wolverhampton Wanderers before arriving at Fulham in July 2023.

In the same window, Fulham took the striker’s former Wolves teammate, Adama Traoré, on a free transfer. The 33-year-old and the winger played regularly for Wolves between 2018 and 2023.

Jiménez has been speaking to Fox Sports Mexico, and talked about his close bond with the 28-year-old.

The Mexico international managed 57 goals and 23 assists from 166 games for Wolves, while Traoré scored 14 goals and registered 18 assists. The report says Jiménez had an ‘inseparable partnership’ with the Spaniard at Wolves and ‘seeks to revive’ that at Fulham.

Marco Silva didn’t rely upon Traoré regularly last season. He played 425 minutes from 18 games, managing two goals and three assists in the process.

Jiménez, on the other hand, scored seven goals from 24 league games, and has three goals to his name from seven matches this season.

Traoré has enjoyed more game time this season and contributed to three goals [a goal and two assists] from six games.

Jiménez is eager to form a succesful partnership with Traoré at Fulham.

“We have been playing together for six years, we arrived at Wolves at the same time in 2018 and now we are here at Fulham,” he said.

“We have a very good relationship on and off the field, and just as we reflected it at Wolves, we can do it with Fulham.”
