Che Adams is continuing to make his decision to move to Serie A after his Southampton contract ended look like a good one.
He joined Torino on a free transfer and for him, life couldn’t get much better right now. Il Toro are currently top of the table under Paolo Vanoli, and Adams was on the scoresheet against Verona in the last round of fixtures.
He now has two goals in the campaign and his strike partnership with Duvan Zapata is working out well.
Gazzetta Granata have looked at the Scotland international, stating that the ‘bet’ on Adams has already been won by Torino, after they were impressed enough by his work at Southampton.
The goals he’s scored so far have been ‘decisive’ and he is in the running to start against Empoli later today in the Coppa Italia.
There is competition in the Torino attack and the former Southampton man is being challenged by the reliable Antonio Sanabria.
Adams’ form is giving a bit of a headache to Vanoli, even though Sanabria is the current favourite to start alongside Zapata.
Considering Southampton’s issues upfront, it’s easy to say the 28-year-old could have offered there something this season.
Instead, he’s enjoying his Italian adventure so far.
