West Ham United have been linked with a multitude of players this summer, and it’s felt like the club have been looking for some value deals to add to the bigger business they’ve already carried out and may continue to do so.
One of those options was Simon Banza, who scored 23 goals last season which helped throw his name into the transfer market. The SC Braga player is very much on the market this summer and West Ham are one of the clubs to have been linked repeatedly.
Banza ‘opens the door to the Middle East’, and is now prepared to forget sporting ambition and simply go for the money.
O Jogo explain West Ham haven’t provided ‘real tempting proposals’ to either the player or Braga, and therefore the option of a move to the United Arab Emirates has become more attractive.
This looks like one where West Ham were trying to get themselves a squad bargain, so not too much of a loss.
