Last month, Fotomaç stated Wilfried Zaha is expected to leave Galatasaray in the summer window and has held talks with West Ham United.
On June 2nd, Fotospor said West Ham have informed the Turkish club of their willingness to table a bid for the 31-year-old.
Two days later, another report from Fotomaç explained that, the ‘most serious buyer’, West Ham could send an official to Istanbul to negotiate a deal for Zaha.
The Ivory Coast international left Crystal Palace and joined Galatasaray as a free agent last summer. The winger was in and out of the starting lineup for most of this year, and that convinced him to leave the Turkish champions.
With Julen Lopetegui’s side keen to acquire his signature, they were pushed forward as one of the main options. There’s been a new development in this case and it won’t please West Ham.
Sabah’s title says Zaha has made a ‘u-turn’. Within the report, it’s said the attacker has ‘cut off communication’ with West Ham because he’s decided to stay at Galatasaray.
Obviously this could be a face-saving exercise and it may actually be the Hammers who have informed Zaha they’re not as keen as he hoped.
