Throughout Erling Haaland’s time at Manchester City, there’s been endless reports that the striker is only there for a few years and will be off to Real Madrid when he gets the chance.
That’s seemed a reasonable assumption, and the Norway international’s camp made sure there were clauses in his Manchester City contract which makes that exit possible, somewhat taking it out the hands of the Premier League champions.
Spanish newspaper Sport now report it looks like Haaland’s transfer plans could be in the bin, because the recruitment Real Madrid have done over the past year means he simply wouldn’t be a priority for quite some time.
Sport say that it’s only really if Endrick doesn’t work out that Haaland will become a serious proposition. All this is fortunate for Pep Guardiola’s side and their chances of keeping the player for the long term.
