Wolverhampton Wanderers’ chase for Talleres midfielder Ramón Sosa is now being reported all over the place.

Besides all the online claims we’ve been seeing in the past few days, there are now two newspapers highlighting Wolves’ interest in the 24-year-old.

One of them is Portuguese outlet O Jogo. While they highlight Benfica’s pursuit of Sosa, it’s pointed out that they learned that the Molineux side want the player as well.

More interesting claims come from Argentina, where Talleres coach Walter Ribonetto is quoted claiming he “believes” the midfielder will soon be gone.

Newspaper Olé covers the interview and writes that Wolves are one of the clubs who are interested in signing the player this summer. It’s said the ‘transfer could be a record’ very soon.

Now, since Sosa is protected by a US$20m release clause and Talleres are qualified for the Copa Libertadores’ knock-out stage, it’s unlikely they’ll hand out big discounts, at least while they’re alive in the competition.

With Wolves interest now reported by several sources, it seems their bid for the Paraguayan player could soon be placed.
