Earlier this week, Tottenham Hotspur’s Giovani Lo Celso made his 50th appearance for Argentina in their 3-1 friendly win over Costa Rica.
The 27-year-old made his debut for La Albiceleste in November 2017 and has been a regular when available for selection. He was an unused substitute during the 2018 World Cup and was forced to miss the World Cup in Qatar due to injury.
The Tottenham player is now aiming to reach new heights with the national team and his quotes are relayed Mundo Deportivo.
“It’s very nice to reach 50 games, now I’m looking forward to more unforgettable moments and to reach new goals with the national team. Every game is a new opportunity to make history together,” he said.
Lo Celso’s contract at Spurs lasts until 2025 and Mundo state he ‘looks to the future with optimism’, with a desire to ‘continue to accumulate success’ at a club level.
