Following the news that Chelsea were recalling Cesare Casadei from Leicester City, the Foxes are now trying to get his replacement in.

That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who took to his website to reveal that the Championship are ‘trying to unlock’ the arrival of Stefano Sensi.

The interest from Leicester in the Inter Milan midfielder is nothing new, with his contract expiring at the end of the season and this month the ideal time to sign him for a low fee.

It was always stated, however, that the Foxes needed to offload someone to bring him in, and the departure of Casadei has opened a slot.

It’s said that Leicester had already been ‘working for several days’ for his permanent arrival from Inter, with an ‘agreement reached’ at around €2m.

Now, they are simply waiting for the OK from the English FA to ‘complete’ the deal taking Sensi to the King Power Stadium, where he can get his Championship and then hopefully Premier League career on track.

Sensi has barely played for Inter Milan this season, and that’s why they aren’t against letting him leave now, pocketing a few millions in their bank account in the process.
