Tottenham have ‘reestablished contact’ and are ready to make ‘decisive’ attack to seal signing

Ange Postecoglou has publicly requested Tottenham Hotspur sign a new centre-back in the winter market.

Spurs have identified Genoa star Radu Drăgușin as one of their targets and their battle with Napoli has been widely covered in Italy for the past week or so.

TuttoMercatoWeb provide the latest on Tottenham and the Naples club’s ongoing pursuit of the 21-year-old.

Walter Mazzarri’s side have been trying to include one or more of their own players as part of the deal, to get closer to Genoa’s demand for the defender.

Napoli haven’t agreed a deal yet and their task has become more complicated because of the north London club.

TMW explain that in the last few hours, Spurs have ‘re-established contact’ with Genoa and are aiming to get ahead of the Italian champions in the transfer race.

It’s even claimed Tottenham could launch an attack that could prove to be ‘decisive’, to get the deal over the line for the Romania international.

There’s no mention of the fee Tottenham could offer. Genoa, for their part, are demanding €30m to sanction Drăgușin’s sale this month.
