Arsenal youngster Marcelo Flores will sign for Tigres tomorrow after the two sides agreed a permanent deal for the midfielder.
That’s according to journalist Rubén Rodríguez, who says the Mexican side have bought the youngster from Arsenal and a deal is now done.
Reports earlier today indicated that Flores was close to bringing his time in England to a close and moving to Mexico in an attempt to get his career back on track.
Those reports indicated that a deal was close after Tigres had been offered the player via his agents and jumped at the opportunity to get him.
Rodríguez now reports that Tigres ‘buy Marcelo Flores’ from Arsenal and that ‘he arrives tomorrow’ to sign his contract and join the Mexican side on a four-year deal.
There is no mention of a transfer amount as of yet, but the deal is a definitive sale, rather than a loan, so a fee will be likely be made public at some point in the near future.
Either way, an agreement appears to be in place between the two clubs and Flores is now flying out to become the latest addition at Tigres, whose board ‘plan to rejuvenate’ the side with Mexican players and have found a perfect one at the Emirates.
