With Murillo’s transfer from Corinthians to Nottingham Forest now confirmed by the Brazilian club, we get to see some more interesting details about this move.

A fresh story from Globo Esporte now highlights that the defender is about to get a huge pay rise by making the switch to the Tricky Trees.

It’s claimed that by signing for Nottingham Forest, Murillo is set to make 17 times more than what he used to earn at Corinthians.

That’s one of the reasons why, despite the Brazilian side’s interest in keeping him until the end of the year, the player simply couldn’t turn down the opportunity.

Globo Esporte claim Corinthians didn’t even try to improve his salary, and the defender and his staff were ‘seduced’ by the chance of moving to the Premier League club.

It’s highlighted that other clubs such as Fiorentina, Torino and Napoli were interested in Murillo, but Nottingham Forest managed to beat all of them.

The report claims the Tricky Trees will pay €12m for the deal, plus €2m in potential bonuses, and Corinthians will keep 10% of the profit from a future transfer.
