Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United all have Xavi Simons on their list for next summer as he doesn’t want to return to Paris Saint Germain.
That’s according to journalist Christian Falk, via Voetbal Primeur, who has insisted the Premier League trio are continue to look at the Dutchman.
Simons returned to RB Leipzig on loan this summer, extending his stay at the German club into another season after a loan spell last season.
That move is not expected to be made permanent next summer, and the expectation is that there will be a battle for his signature at that point as a result.
According to Falk, Manchester City are at the front of the queue as they see Simons as a possible successor to Kevin de Bruyne.
He adds that the 21-year-old is also on the list at Liverpool and Manchester United, both of whom are managed by Dutchmen in Arne Slot and Erik ten Hag. That means the player could be tempted according to Falk.
Voetbal Primeur also relay information from BILD, who have reported that Simons does not want to go back to PSG next summer. Thus, a battle could ensure, with him valued at €80m.
Whether Manchester City, Liverpool or Manchester United would want to pay that for him remains to be seen.
All three have already been linked in Germany over the last year and it seems Falk is determined to add to that, believing the Dutch element at least two of those clubs could tempt Simons into the move.
