Kevin de Bruyne’s ‘guts’ are what make him the best midfielder in the world as he continues to shine at Manchester City.
That’s according to analyst Filip Joos, who says that Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco will be dreaming of glory following De Bruyne’s latest superb display for Manchester City.
The Belgian midfielder was the star of the show in City’s 4-1 win over Arsenal on Wednesday, bagging two goals in a dominant display that appears to have put Pep Guardiola’s side on course for another title.
De Bruyne was at his imperious best in the game, forming a deadly partnership with Erling Haaland in a more advanced role in midfield than he’s played in recent months.
Joos is certainly a fan of the Manchester City star and believes there is one thing in particular which makes him stand out above the rest.
“I think Domenico Tedesco is now thinking: if I get De Bruyne at 80% of this level with the Red Devils, we have a chance of winning an EC or World Cup,” Voetbal Nieuws report him saying.
“There’s no other way, right? This is simply the best midfielder in the world in his position.
“Footballers like Pedri are also great, but the pace that De Bruyne can develop, the vision, the guts to kick a risky ball for a change… Nobody else has that.”
