Manchester United are ready to make an offer for Barcelona forward Ansu Fati and are the ‘most reliable option’ for him should he leave Barcelona this summer.
That’s according to Sport, who say the latest comments from his father have seen the player take a definitive step towards a departure from the Camp Nou.
His agent, Jorge Mendes, is working to make a transfer happen and has already been ‘probing the market’ for months, believing there are serious options to close a big money move.
They’ve shown a ‘real interest’ in signing Fati for a while and Mendes considers them a good option because of his ‘good relationship’ with those in charge at Old Trafford.
They have also shown a ‘predisposition to make an offer’ as they are planning to sign two quality attackers to bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad this summer.
It’s claimed that as long as the figures required were ‘within normal parameters’ Manchester United would be willing to sign the player and Mendes considers them as the ‘most reliable option’ on the table.
They will face competition, though, as there are other clubs asking for information on him should he and Barcelona decide to part ways.
