Manchester City star Ederson has admitted that he’s spoken to Pep Guardiola about the potential of becoming Brazil’s new manager.
The Selecao are on the hunt for their next permanent boss after Tite departed after their poor performance at the World Cup in Qatar.
The Brazilian FA are believed to be on the hunt for a big-name appointment to fill the void and Ederson has admitted to GE Globo that he’s spoken to his Manchester City manager about the position.
The logical position for him would be the Spain job but it is the Brazil job he has been linked to most heavily, with reports in January even stating that he had turned down an approach to take up the position.
That seemingly didn’t stop Ederson asking his manager about the possibility of it happening, to which he received the same response as everyone else.
“I even commented with him, playing with him,” he told the newspaper.
“But he said he doesn’t have that possibility, because he has signed a contract with Manchester City not long ago, he renewed for two seasons, he said he had no chance at all.
“I hope that you announce this coach soon because there is a lot of speculation, Brazilian coaches, foreigners, we also live in this phase of anxiety.”
