Now one of the stars at Brighton & Hove Albion, Moisés Caicedo is widely seen as one of the more exciting prospects in the Premier League.

Still only 20 years of age, the Ecuador international has a bright future ahead of him, and could become even better with Roberto De Zerbi at the helm.

However, even when he was back in Ecuador with Independiente del Valle, in his teens, he was already impressing players with far more experience than him, such as Lorenzo Faravelli.

The Argentine midfielder spent a season with Caicedo at the club before the youngster’s transfer to Brighton, and couldn’t help but shower him with praise when asked about the Seagulls star.

He told Directv, relayed by ESPN: “He’s the most complete player with whom I’ve played. It was very quickly obvious that he had an impressive ability to adapt to any moment of the game. The truth is that what happened to Moisés doesn’t surprise us; I think he has a lot of room to grow.”

Not only was he good on the pitch, but the Brighton man was also eager to learn, as the 29-year-old added the Ecuadorian ‘knew how to listen’ and always ‘asked a lot of questions’.

Struggling to get in the Seagulls first-team when he first arrived, it was decided that Caicedo would head to Belgium for a bit to get more game time.

He made 14 appearances for Beerschot before returning to Brighton, where he has been an undisputed starter since the start of the season, starting all eight Premier League games, and picking up a goal in the 5-2 win over Leicester City.
