Earlier on Friday, we covered the latest in the Paul Pogba mess, with Mathias Pogba somehow releasing a stream of videos despite being in police custody.

While a lot of it was of no interest to Nottingham Forest fans, there was one section that included Serge Aurier, who very recently signed for the Tricky Trees.

The Ivory Coast international was said to have been the one to put the Juventus player in touch with the famous marabout he had allegedly hired to try and curse Kylian Mbappé.

At the time, we pointed out this wasn’t something the Nottingham Forest player would ignore, and, asked about it directly by L’Equipe, the right-back has given his take on the matter.

He first made it clear that he is ‘Muslim and prays to God, not the marabout’, before adding: “Call me for good, amusing and funny things. For family stories that border on madness, go talk directly to the Pogba family or to whoever proclaims them.”

That should put that to bed, with the Nottingham Forest man clearly not interested in being involved in the story.

He has yet to play under Steve Cooper after joining on September 6th, and we’ll have to wait and see when he does, with the first opportunity being the upcoming clash against Leicester City on Monday, October 3rd.
