Tottenham have revived their interest in Monaco defender Axel Disasi as they look to bolster their defence this summer.

That’s according to Marca, who say Tottenham have ‘returned’ to the battle for the defender alongside Atletico Madrid.

The newspaper explain that Atletico have a ‘busy summer ahead’ and the club’s management have a defined roadmap in terms of signings.

The centre-back position is one of the ones they would like to strengthen, and Disasi is one of the names on their list.

The 24-year-old, who has three caps for France’s U20s, has been impressing for Monaco for the past two seasons, and that’s earned him attention from several sides in Europe.

Atlético are one of them, and they have asked Monaco to learn about the defender’s situation, but they are not the only side who are keen.

Tottenham have also ‘returned’ to the picture after showing an interest in the past and have made it clear they are ‘interested’ in his situation.

They have been interested in him for two years and like his profile ‘a lot’ as Antonio Conte looks to improve his defence this summer.

They are very much interested in signing him again and could take advantage of the fact that Atlético need to sell players before they can buy anyone to get him ahead of the La Liga side.
