Towards the end of March, the Catalan media started discussing Barcelona’s desire to sign Leeds United star Raphinha this summer.

The La Liga side are keen to secure the winger’s services and reached an agreement with his agent, Deco, over personal terms. They had hoped to take him for €25-30m if the Whites had dropped to the second division.

With earlier reports stating that Xavi Hernández’s side are ready to fight to secure the 25-year-old’s services, the player is now reportedly ready to do his bit to get a move to the Camp Nou.

Sport have a report stating Angel Di María and Alexis Sánchez have offered themselves to Barcelona.

With Ousmane Dembélé set to leave as a free agent and Adama Traoré expected to return to Wolves after his short loan spell, the Spanish giants will have to bring in a new winger. The newspaper states the Leeds player is the chosen one.

The report adds Barca will do everything possible to get his signing done, but the Whites are not making it easy for them.

Sport adds that Raphinha ‘is going to go all out to leave Leeds and is willing to go to war if necessary.’

This makes Barca moderately optimistic that they could get his signing done, provided they can scrape together the necessary financial resources. It’s a change in stance after earlier reports insisted Raphinha didn’t want to rock the boat.

Over at Mundo Deportivo, they explain Barca have not made an offer to Leeds for Raphinha. It’s also stated they will not make contact with the English club until Dembélé’s situation is sorted out.

The Frenchman’s deal expires on June 30th and he’s not accepted the renewal offer made by Xavi’s side.
