Manchester United have been brought into the mix to sign Christian Eriksen this summer.

The Denmark international spent the second half of the season at Brentford and his deal with them runs until June 30th.

Thomas Frank’s side want to offer him a new contract, while reports in the UK have talked about Manchester United wanting to take the attacking midfielder on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old played the full 90 minutes in Denmark’s 2-1 win over Austria in the UEFA Nations League on Monday, getting as assist.

Ekstra Bladet state officials from 10 clubs, including Manchester United, were in attendance at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion yesterday.

It’s said the Red Devils scouts [and Tottenham Hotspur] had a ‘special focus’ on the ex-Inter Milan man, who has the chance to join a new club as a free agent this summer.

Apart from Manchester United, scouts from FC Augsburg, Torino, Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham United, Borussia Dortmund, Sarpsborg, Trabzonspor, Istanbulspor and Spurs were also watching Eriksen in action for Denmark on Monday.
