Roda JC have confirmed on their club website the loan signing of Zulte Waregem defender Bryan Verboom. The left back was a target for Leeds United in the last window following claims they put in a bid for the player.

Roda JC have revealed they’ve signed Verboom on loan until the end of the season after recent talks with Zulte Waregem. Verboom has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Belgian side this season and we reported last week his agency were in discussions with Roda JC with regards to a loan deal.

Verboom’s transfer didn’t go through in time for him to be involved in yesterday’s clash with Feyenoord, but he will be available for the game against NEC next week.

During the last window Leeds United were prepared to go to the wire in their pursuit of Verboom. At the time it was claimed in Belgium Leeds United had a bid turned down by Zulte Waregem, following reports Charlie Taylor could be heading to West Brom.

Verboom was again linked with a move to Leeds United in November after he lost his place at Zulte Waregem.
