It’s no longer a secret that Flamengo officials are this week travelling to Europe to find good deals of what was left from the January transfer window.

Previous reports had claimed that the Rio de Janeiro side have several targets to discuss, but according to a new piece from O Globo, there’s actually only one priority.

That’s the situation of Andreas Pereira, who’s loaned by Manchester United until June, and Flamengo are willing to negotiate for a permanent move.

The story claims that following a €8m bid for the purchase, which Manchester United didn’t even respond to, and the Brazilian club are now hoping to ‘try to approach in person’ to remedy that.

On Flamengo’s side, there’s Andreas Pereira’s desire to stay, who already made it public that he’d like to remain at the club and also told Manchester United that.

Problem is that the Red Devils have no hurry to sell the player, which makes it unlikely that they’ll make big discounts, and the Brazilian club have no conditions of raising their offer too much.

Even though O Globo says Flamengo could offer a future partnership with Manchester United, especially because there’s a ‘lack of dialogue’ with the Premier League side now, it’s also claimed that no youngsters should be included in the deal for Pereira.

The buying option which was previously agreed for the midfielder is of €20m.
